常言道：「世上只有媽媽好」，尤其在上個月的母親節。母愛固然偉大，但爸爸的愛也不容忽視。過兩天便是父親節了，你們有沒有為父親準備禮物或心意呢？
或許因為爸爸較不擅長表達自己、大多時間都在工作、與家人或子女相處的時間比較少，爸爸的付出時常被忽略。而這些「沉默的男人」可能有苦自己知，有什麼心事或壓力，都習慣自己一力承擔。這些壓力容易引致情緒、脫髮、失眠等問題。以下略談壓力與脫髮。
眾所周知，壓力會引致脫髮，例如M額 (Androgenetic alopecia)和休止期脫髮(Telogen effluvium，即毛髮提早進入休止期，停止生長及脫落)。一項日本研究補充了箇中機制，發現在小鼠身上的精神壓力會增加物質P (Substance P)。物質P是一種神經肽 (Neuropeptide)，是神經傳遞的重要物質，與血管擴張、疼痛感、記憶力、情緒有關。它令皮膚發炎、損害毛囊，使毛髮脫落。其實這可發生於全身，只是頭髮比較明顯。一項德國研究進而提出，物質P接收器抗結劑能扺消物質P帶來的毛囊損害，促進毛髮生長。很多研究都顯示腸道菌對物質P有調節作用。其中一項發現副乾酪乳桿菌（Lactobacillus paracasei）能抑制物質P引致的皮膚發炎、加快回復皮膚保護屏障。除了因疾病而起的脫髮，我們普遍相信避免壓力過大，能預防或延緩上述脫髮問題。
