益生菌+黑朱古力:雙劍合璧 提升免疫

 

踏入年尾,大家都開始張羅聖誕禮物,朱古力是熱門首選之一。市面上有數之不盡的朱古力款式,主要分為白朱古力、牛奶朱古力和黑朱古力三種。它們的主要分別是可可和脂肪的含量,可可含量越高,糖和奶的份量就會較少,亦比較健康。

 

黑朱古力: 增強免疫力的美食

黑朱古力含有較多可可成分,可可含量普遍是60%至80%。可可含量越高,味道越苦;但所含有益健康成分就越多,其中主要是多酚(polyphenols)和類黃酮(flavonoids)。有很多不同的研究都針對可可多酚和類黃酮的功效和益處,發現他們可以抗炎和提升腸道免疫力。不同研究都發現可可抽取物可以減低過敏炎症和食物過敏反應。美國一項研究,安排實驗對象進食高濃度可可(70%可可、30%有機蔗糖)黑朱古力後,能有效調節人類免疫T細胞和細胞免疫反應丶緩和過敏發炎反應。這些研究都顯示了可可成份能預防食物過敏反應的可能性。

亦有針對可可成份提升免疫力及預防病原體感染的研究。西班牙一個實驗團隊,研究可可飲食對年幼小鼠的腸道淋巴組織和免疫功能的影響。結果顯示,攝取豐富可可能夠影響腸道的淋巴組織和淋巴功能,增加了腸道淋巴組織和淋巴結裏面的免疫T細胞的產生,從而有效預防病毒和細菌感染,可保護腸道並提升自身整體免疫力。

可可多酚還可以調節腸道細菌群,增加有抗炎效果的細菌比例。有研究顯示,連續四週每天攝取可可類黃酮飲品,能顯著增加雙歧桿菌(Bifidobacterium)、乳酸桿菌(Lactobacillus)含量;梭狀芽孢桿菌(Clostridium)的數量則減少了。這證明了可可能夠和腸道細菌一同改善整體健康和免疫力。

 

腸道益菌: 芽胞乳酸菌BC30

芽胞乳酸菌GBI-30(BC30)是一種耐性益生菌,它的胞子能抵抗高溫和酸性環境,所以經常在不同的食品中找到它的踪影。

一項針對英國65至80歲老人的研究發現,連續28日進食BC30,能夠增加腸道中的普氏桿菌(Faecalibacterium prausnitzii)等有益細菌。更發現測試者身體產生了更多抗炎的細胞因子,從而證實了BC30有透過改善腸道細菌群增強免疫力的功效。

BC30的功效並不單是長者專利,當然也有BC30和兒童健康的研究。80個墨西哥小學生參加了攝取BC30能否改善上呼吸道和腸道健康的研究,為期三個月。其中40名每天進食10億菌落(cfu)BC30。結果發現,益生菌大大減少測試組產生上呼吸道症狀,如鼻塞、鼻水等,或腸道不適的情況。測試組血液中的白血球和免疫球蛋白數量,都比對照組的要多。由此可知,進食BC30能夠從各方面改善健康、提升整體免疫力。
